Two Turtles on Turtle Hill

I'm walking on turtle hill scouting out wildflowers to photograph. As I'm about 20 yards on oak trail I see a blanding and box turtle about 2 feet apart. I'm not really sure why they are so close to each other?

The blanding turtle heads uphill after I'm done taking its photograph. I wonder if its heading for the kettle pond on top of turtle hill? Blanding are a species of special concern here in Michigan.
