Beech/Maple Woods in Fog – April 28 2007

It’s a beautiful morning with fog filling the air here on turtle hill.

Hello world!

I’m the Outdoor Education director at Camp Friedenswald, located in Cass County, Michigan.  Friedendswald has a Red Oak preserve, Beech Maple forest, lake, bog type wetland called a Fen, and praire meadow.  What wonderful diverse habitat! As OE Director, I mainly am responsible for working with many school groups from the area to help them learn more about their natural surroundings.  I also run the ropes course which is a team building program that is used by groups of both adults and youth. I have a wonderful job!

My blogs are going to focus on my nature sightings and other nature information that pertains to the Michiana(Southwestern Michigan and Northern Indiana) area in which I live and work.
