Smashed Dragonfly five April 6 2007

I find this dragonfly(I believe it’s a green darter) smashed in the driveway of main camp between the nature center and dining hall. It looks like a fossil. I wonder if our current cold snap was it demise? We’re suppose to get 2 inches of snow by tommorrow. I wonder how emergent insects survive these changes in weather? Maybe they don’t?
